Glow in Love
The Bel Air Pavilion Wedding Venue provided the perfect backdrop for Lindy & Kobus to celebrate their timeless love story in a colourful affair drenched in regal hues of purple. The rolling hills of the Paarl landscape and the expansive views of the Winelands set the scenes for an unforgettable moment in time.
Every detail exuded that extra touch of sophistication, from the rich vibrant tones of the bridesmaids’s dresses to the delicate copper accents adorning the tables. The lush overhanging floral installations in vivid colours and attention to detail set the scene for unforgettable festivities.
Both Lindy and Kobus had their immediate family and friends around them when they were getting ready, and I could see how important these people were to them on their journey together. Many were old varsity or high school friends and the jovial atmosphere was set for the rest of the day’s formalities to follow.
Lindy’s beautiful couture Elbeth Gillis dress with a detachable tulle skirt and the gossamer-thin veil is such a wonderfully classic and timeless design. She glowed as she stepped into her bridal attire and with the soft diffused light of the bridal suite I was able to capture the most ethereal bridal portraits before she made her way down the aisle.
One particularly epic moment during the day was the bride’s entrance to the ceremony. Bel Air is known for its beautiful terrace-style steps down to the ceremony area combined with Lindy’s intro song choice of Outro by M83 { the Versailles TV Series theme song} it just gave that feeling of regal elegance again as she walked into her forever.
After the I Do’s was said and the registry signed the couple enjoyed some wonderfully creative canapes and stunning views with their guests. Elegantly placed lounge pockets on the terrace levels of the venue added to the vibe and atmosphere for guests as they got to enjoy the beautiful sunset while I whisked the couple away for their couple portraits.
As the sun dipped golden and glowingly on the horizon, casting a warm glow on their fun and intimate couple portrait session I knew this one was going to be one for the ages.
Lindy and Kobus danced the night away, surrounded by loved ones and immersed in the beauty of their shared journey.
This was more than just a wedding; it was a celebration of a young love that turned into a forever love, a testament to the enduring power of devotion and commitment.
